A graduate of the Bachelor's degree in Athletic and Clinical Trainning is a highly qualified specialist in the field of training, prehabilitation, prepared to work in the sports, post-rehabilitation and health care environment. The Athletic and Clinical Trainer course responds to the growing and multidimensional needs of the labor market in the field of educating interdisciplinary specialists prepared to work in therapeutic and training teams. In the era of an ageing society, an increasing number of physically active people and a growing number of chronically ill or injured clients, it becomes necessary to educate specialists capable of undertaking comprehensive actions to support physical functioning and improve the quality of life of clients. Education in the field of Athletic and Clinical Trainer enables the effective transfer of scientific knowledge into clinical and sports practice, supporting an innovative approach to medical training and functional therapy.

Programme content

You will acquire knowledge and practical skills in the field of sports training, injury prevention and therapy, as well as conducting medical training within rehabilitation programs for musculoskeletal dysfunctions and internal diseases. He has competences in the field of:

Analysis of movement capabilities and limitations as the starting point for every effective training program.

Injury prevention through conscious physical preparation for exercise.

Training for Special Populations: Managing exercise programs for individuals with chronic diseases, post-injury recovery, and seniors. The graduate knows how to safely adapt training to the client’s current capabilities and health status.

Providing first aid and responding in emergency situations – is prepared to provide assistance in emergencies, such as sports injuries or sudden cardiac arrest.

Nutrition and physical condition consulting – has basic knowledge of diet and training optimization in the context of health and physical performance, as well as the basics of clinical and sports dietetics.

Management and organization of work in the profession – knows the principles of administration and ethics in the work of a medical trainer and the functioning of health care. During the studies, the graduate will have the opportunity to obtain additional certificates that will increase his competitiveness on the labor market and expand his competences.

A graduate of the Athletic and Clinical Trainer program is prepared for independent coaching based on scientific knowledge. They assess a client's functional capabilities and design as well as implement training programs tailored to individual needs and health status. They understand how chronic diseases and injuries impact physical performance and translate this knowledge directly into effective training planning and execution. They are equipped to respond in emergency situations, provide advice on sports and health-promoting nutrition, and integrate scientific research findings into their daily training practice. Furthermore, they possess the organizational and leadership competencies necessary for working within sports and health-oriented teams.

A graduate can work m.in in:

- Rehabilitation clinics in conducting the third stage of therapy (after the completion of physiotherapy).

- Gyms, fitness centers and training centers.

Admission requirements

- English language B2 (more information),

- positive high school graduation exam results,

- medical certificate confirming no contraindications to studying at the Faculty of Rehabilitation,

- Psychophysical fitness necessary to correctly demonstrate and perform exercises in the field of health-oriented physical activity, athletic training, adapted physical activity, exercise programming for individuals, motor performance enhancement, injury prevention, and safe return to physical activity, for people with various levels of fitness and functional abilities.
