Program Profesorowie Wizytujący AWF Warszawa jest odpowiedzią na realizację strategii umiędzynarodowienia naszej Uczelni.

Zatrudnienie naukowców i dydaktyków  z zagranicy ma na celu m.in.: intensyfikację transferu wiedzy naukowej, poszerzenie oferty dydaktycznej oraz doskonalenie umiejętności językowych studentów.

Status profesora wizytującego może uzyskać wyłącznie osoba, która:

• posiada tytuł naukowy profesora lub jest zatrudniona na stanowisku profesora w zagranicznej uczelni lub zagranicznej instytucji naukowej;
• nie posiada polskiego obywatelstwa;
• zrealizuje w naszej Uczelni co najmniej 60 godzin zajęć dydaktycznych w roku akademickim na studiach I stopnia lub/i jednolitych magisterskich lub/i II stopnia lub/i w Szkole Doktorskiej;
• zostanie zaproszona do AWF Warszawa przez zatrudnionego w niej nauczyciela akademickiego, będącego opiekunem wizyty.

Finansowanie wizyty obejmuje wynagrodzenie Beneficjenta oraz zwrot kosztów podróży i/lub zakwaterowania Beneficjenta w ramach programu „Profesorowie wizytujący AWF Warszawa”, na które składają się:

• koszty prowadzenia wykładów, seminariów lub innych zajęć skierowanych do studentów lub uczestników Szkoły Doktorskiej lub/i koszty związane z prowadzeniem działalności naukowej w trakcie wizyty;
• koszty podróży;
• koszty zakwaterowania.

Warunkiem przystąpienia do programu jest złożenie przez opiekuna wizyty, wniosku zatwierdzonego przez dziekana wydziału przyjmującego i/lub Kierownika Szkoły Doktorskiej, do prorektora właściwego ds. współpracy międzynarodowej.

Wypełniony wniosek składa opiekun wizyty w wersji elektronicznej (skan podpisanego wniosku) wysyłając na adres:  bwz@awf.edu.pl

Wnioski przyjmowane są  w terminie do 15 kwietnia na semestr jesienny i 15 października na semestr wiosenny roku poprzedzającego przyjazd.

Obowiązki opiekuna wizyty:

• złożenie wniosku;
• zorganizowanie i uzgodnienie z Beneficjentem zajęć w liczbie min. 60 godzin;
• dopełnienie procesu związanego z procedurą zatrudnienia w AWF Warszawa (np. zezwolenie na pobyt, zakwaterowanie, wniosek EOD, umowa zlecanie, ubezpieczenie);
• Utworzenie profilu Beneficjenta w systemie WU oraz przypisanie go do zajęć dydaktycznych wspólnie z wykładowcą prowadzącym, którego zajęcia będą realizowane przez Beneficjenta.
• złożenie sprawozdania z realizacji wizyty w terminie 14 dni od jej zakończenia do dziekana.

Józef Piłsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw

The Józef Piłsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw invites distinguished international scholars to participate in its Visiting Professors Programme. The initiative is aimed at strengthening international academic cooperation, enhancing the quality of education, and fostering the exchange of knowledge and research experience within a dynamic and international academic environment.

The programme is addressed to experienced academics who hold the title or position of professor at a foreign university or research institution, have a significant record of teaching and research achievements, and are not Polish citizens. Candidates are invited in cooperation with an academic staff member of AWF Warsaw, who acts as the host and supports the organisation of the visit.

Visiting Professors are expected to actively contribute to the academic life of the University by delivering high-quality teaching in English and engaging with students and staff. The responsibilities include conducting a minimum of 60 hours of teaching, such as lectures, seminars, or workshops, as well as participation in the development of modern, internationalised curricula. In addition, Visiting Professors are encouraged to collaborate with academic staff, share their expertise, and engage in research-related activities, including work with graduate and doctoral students.

AWF Warsaw offers a comprehensive support package to ensure a comfortable and productive stay. Visiting Professors receive remuneration for their teaching and academic activities, reimbursement of travel costs, and accommodation for the duration of their visit. Administrative and organisational support is also provided by the host unit.

Participation in the programme offers an opportunity to become part of an international academic community, establish long-term partnerships, and contribute to the development of innovative study programmes. It also enables Visiting Professors to engage with motivated students and to initiate or expand research cooperation in a supportive institutional environment. The programme combines academic excellence with the experience of living and working in Warsaw, one of the most dynamic academic and cultural centres in Central Europe.

Responsibilities of Visiting Professors

To ensure the high quality and effective implementation of the programme, Visiting Professors are expected to fulfil the following responsibilities:

Before the visit

• maintain contact with the host academic staff member to agree on the scope and schedule of teaching activities;
• provide all necessary documents required for the formal appointment and administrative procedures;
• cooperate in arranging travel and accommodation details;
• prepare teaching materials and course content in accordance with the agreed programme.

During the visit

• deliver a minimum of 60 hours of teaching (lectures, seminars, workshops) as agreed with the host unit;
• conduct classes in English at a high academic standard;
• actively engage with students and academic staff;
• participate in academic and/or research activities of the University;
• comply with internal regulations and organisational requirements of AWF Warsaw.

After the visit

• cooperate with the host in completing any required documentation related to the visit;
• contribute to reporting on the outcomes of the visit, if requested;
• support the development of future academic or research cooperation with AWF Warsaw.

Responsibilities of the Host

The host academic staff member at the Józef Piłsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw plays a key role in the successful organisation and implementation of the visit. The host is responsible for both the formal and academic aspects of the Visiting Professor’s stay.

The responsibilities of the host include:

• submitting the application for participation in the programme, approved by the Dean of the hosting faculty and/or the Head of the Doctoral School;
• planning and coordinating the teaching programme in cooperation with the Visiting Professor, ensuring a minimum of 60 teaching hours;
• organising and agreeing on the schedule of classes and academic activities;
• supporting the Visiting Professor in all administrative procedures related to their stay at AWF Warsaw (including employment formalities, residence arrangements, accommodation, insurance, and internal documentation);
• creating the Visiting Professor’s profile in the university system and assigning them to teaching activities in cooperation with the relevant academic staff;
• providing organisational support during the visit and acting as the main point of contact;
• submitting a report on the implementation of the visit within 14 days after its completion to the appropriate faculty authorities.
