Department activity
The task of the Department of Nursing Foundation is to conduct didactic classes for students in the field of: basic nursing, philosophy and ethics of the profession, primary health care, public health, nursing research, nosocomial infections, health promotion, occupational health and safety and pre-clinical science such as microbiology, genetics, physical examination and radiology.
The activities of the Nursing Department are aimed at acquiring by a student skills such as providing health promotion and disease prevention services, communicating at work, organizing self-employment, using up-to-date knowledge to ensure safety and high levels of care, establishing cooperation in health care teams and supporting local community health efforts. The task of the Department is also shaping attitudes and scientific beliefs, developing special talents that are important for the profession of nurse, and implementing continuous improvement of qualifications through self-education.
The task of the Clinical Nursing Department is:
- Conducting didactic classes for students of both full- i part-time studies at the Faculty of Rehabilitation in the field of clinical nursing, including: internist, surgical, paediatric, geriatric, anaesthesiological, gynaecological i palliative care, rehabilitation and disabled nursing
- Coordinating of hands-on classes i student apprenticeship
- Participation in the creation of Bachelor Thesis (research)
- Conducting a Student Scientific Club of Clinical Nursing
- Collaborate with the local community through participation in planned, off-university health prevention events
